This particular time I was in Morrisons, but this kind of nonsense is everywhere and if we are not careful, we will have more girls growing up and leaving STEM behind. We desperately need to encourage our future scientists, engineers, problem solvers, etc., to excel in the things they love so that they can grow up and change the world!
Telling half of them from when they are little that their smiles matter but their ideas don’t – or that we don’t even expect them to have good ideas, is NOT the way to achieve this!!!
