As part of my continuing relaunch of Inventor Club I wanted to broaden my offering to ensure there were sessions that literally everyone can attend with no barriers and no cost.
We need more problem solvers in this world and we’re not going to get there with our current spoon fed blindly-following-instructions systems that we have at the moment.
So, as well as running my online inventor club, the 3D printing for Innovation and Make & Sell sessions, I’m also doing a weekly half hour inspirational drop in thing that will morph and develop over time.
I’m crazy busy so initially this will just be 30 minutes long BUT we’ll pack a lot in. Here’s the plan:
3 segments
1. Problem of the week – exploring one open ended design challenge every single week. The sheets will be available on my #InventorClub???? facebook group. You can respond to this challenge in your home with jut a bit of a chat, a brainstorm, a design deep dive and/or a make, build and test – it’s entirely up to you. Bring along your response the following week – I’ll pick some folks to share what you did
2. Wicked Cool Stuff – i’m always up to something, making cool things or visting intersting places. I’ll bring along a few stories from my week or show you some awesome stuff i’m working on or incredible inspirational stuff i’ve seen that I think you should be aware of
3. Ask me anything – I’ve lived a lot of life, I’ve given away everything i’ve owned twice, i’ve nearly died a few times, i’ve broken bones breakdancing in various bars and clubs, i’ve made and sold all sorts of things and i’ve been in industry for over 20 years so i’ve not only got stories for days but a good understanding of what it takes to become an inventor and so much more. I will try and be an open book, I will try and provide useful targetted advice too. You can submit questions ahead of time through socials or drop them on the day in the comments.
Inventing is all about iteration – this is the starting point, we see if it works, if folks like it and if they would like different content and go from there!
